Biology
A common but little-known inshore bottom shark. Feeds on bony fishes and crustaceans. Oviparous. Utilized for human consumption and used in Chinese medicine. Caught by multiple hook and line and trawl. Caught rarely by demersal gillnet fisheries operating inshore.
