Biology
Common on rocks and in rock pools to a depth of about 0.5 m, only found near the surface in deep rock-pools. Appears to favor areas subjected to surf. Feeds mainly on algae (Ref. 5288). Oviparous (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhesive (Ref. 205).
