Caudal region very short, preanal length contained less than 2 times in TL; lateral line midlateral; head and belly without scales; sparsely distributed scales only extending to pectoral tip (Ref. 559). Body with saddle-like or Y-shaped blotches; white bands on nape and below eye (Ref. 559).
