Adults inhabit rocky pools and runs of clear, fairly fast headwaters, creeks and small rivers (Ref. 205); also found in small to medium streams. Feed on insects taken in midwater areas and from the surface (Ref. 10294). Oviparous (Ref. 205), probably open substratum spawners like congeners (Ref. 5723).
